Vonnie Quinn is an American journalist, radio presenter, and musician who is currently working for the Bloomberg Markets on Bloomberg TV in New York. Prior to finding a position in the journalism industry, she was destined for her musical career. She is a classically trained violinist.
Quinn attended and graduated from the National University of Ireland prior to going to further her studies in the States after winning the NUI Travelling Studentship award. In 2004, she received a scholarship from the Lorana Sullivan Foundation. Additionally, this scholarship enabled her to continue with her degree studies at Columbia University in New York. She graduated in the class of 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.
Immediately after graduating, she started working at Bloomberg and her first role was to serve as a host on Bloomberg radio. She also served as an editor for Bloomberg Businessweek. Currently, she anchors Bloomberg Markets. Before she officially joined Bloomberg, she used to write for local newspapers in her own home country. Additionally, these newspapers include The Anglo-Celt and The Irish Music Magazine.
