He attended Springville High School and Westside Elementary School. Later on, he got a scholarship from Utah Golf Association and an academic scholarship from Southern Utah State College, Cedar City. He also attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
