Alison Kosik is an American journalist currently serving as the CNN business correspondent majorly covering the New York Stock Exchange. She also works as a general assignment correspondent for the network.
Kosik attended Nova High School and proceeded to the American University in Washington D.C. for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. In addition, she received a Cripps Howard New Media Fellowship in 2001 from Columbia University.
Kosik started her career in Corpus Christi, Texas, working as a reporter for KZTV-TV. Soon after, she relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida to work as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WPEC-TV.
Alison then got another opportunity in Washington D.C. to work as a business correspondent for EnergyNewsLive.com. After working for various stations in Washington, Kosik relocated to New York City to serve as an investigative reporter at WCBS-TV.
Alison landed herself a job at CNN. She started work in the finance section in the year 2007. After working for almost two years, she got an offer to work in an international news company Bloomberg as an anchor and reporter. However, due to her commitment to CNN, she did not take the offer.
Later on, Alison got promoted to serve as a Business correspondent on CNN. Kosik is a recipient of the 1999 Florida AP Award for Best Spot News as well as the 1993 Fellow from the International Radio and Television Society.
