Frank Buckley is an American Award-winning broadcast journalist who currently works for KTLA. He anchors KTLA’s Emmy Award-winning broadcast L.A.’s No.1-rated KTLA 5 Morning News. Buckley is the host of a TV show and podcast that airs on KTLA Weekends and is also available on Youtube for Frank Buckley Interviews. He produces the show as well.
In 2005, he joined KTLA from CNN. He was a national reporter at CNN and was a multi-award-winning journalist, including Emmys. His KTLA interviews feature long-form and thought-provoking conversations with prominent newsmakers and interesting individuals with Americans every day.
While at CNN, different duties were assigned to him, including breaking news, long-form business reporting, and politics. He was on the “Carrier at War assignment” documentary for CNN Presents. Frank traveled alongside the John Kerry and John Edwards campaigns in 2004. He traveled with President George W. Bush, often reporting from the White House, during the 2003-2004 presidential campaigns.
As a reporter, his work took him to virtually every city in Southern California and to different locations around the world. Frank went to Japan in 2011, for instance, reporting for KTLA. In Japan, immediately after the devastating tsunami struck, he posted from Sendai, the capital city of Miyagi Prefecture.
