Michelle Imperato is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist currently working as a news anchor at WESH 2 News in Orlando. Previously, she co-anchored the number one morning show at WESH 2’s sister station KSBW in Monterey, California, while working as the station’s Investigative reporter. Michelle also served as an anchor/reporter for WLNY-TV 10/55 in New York for the Nightly News at 11.
Imperato is a proud graduate of the State University of New York Westbury where she studied Media and Communications and was a part of Long Island News Tonight at the New York Institute of Technology, where she first cut her teeth as a reporter.
Michelle has covered a number of notable international, national, and local stories as a reporter. In addition, she co-anchored 2 hours of the live broadcast of the search of Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Michele further investigated clams of harmful black mold in apartments at the former Fort Ord. In 2013, Michelle reported Live from the devastating Big Sur Wildfire. Michelle reported the 2008 Presidential elections and “The Miracle on the Hudson” from New York City.
Imperato flew with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds and also traveled to Los Angeles to cover Dancing with The Stars.
