Alycia Jasmin Debnam-Carey is an Australian actress who is famous for appearing in series such as The 100 and Fear the Walking Dead. Jasmin began her career in 2003 by starring in a short drama Martha’s New Coat. Throughout her career, she has been awarded several awards including the TV Scoop Awards for Best Guest Star, and won the MTV Fandom Award for Fan Freakout of the Year for her work in the series.
Debnam is a native of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, where she was a percussionist. After completing high school, she took part in a musical program for two weeks and performed it at the Sydney Opera House. For her performance, she was enlisted as a distinguished achiever by the N.S.W. Government and received the Premier’s Award for scoring 90+ in over 10 units.
Shortly after that, Jasmin decided to pursue her career in acting. In 2003, she appeared in Rachel Ward’s award-winning short-feature film Martha’s New Coat. For her upcoming film, she is expected to star as Emily in the eight-part Hulu series Saint X.
