Amanda Barren is an American broadcast journalist currently serving as a news anchor and reporter for the Nexstar Media Group since 2021. She makes regular appearances on Nexstar media stations like WOWK 13 News, WSAZ News and three other Nexstar media platforms. Prior to her work with WOWK, Barren spent three years working as a field reporter and anchor for WJET News based in Pennsylvania. She even worked as a morning reporter and noon anchor for WKYC News.
Barren is a Cleveland, Ohio native who grew up as the only child in her family. She finished her early education at a private high school situated in her hometown. Amanda graduated with a good GPA and joined Ohio University where she studied journalism and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
