Scott Jennings Biography
Scott Jennings is an American journalist, writer and conservative commentator who rose to fame for working as a contributor for CNN, USA Today and Los Angeles Times. Prior to his work on CNN, Jennings spent time working as a news anchor and reporter for WHAS Radio where he won the Associated Press award for his plight for homeless people living in the lower part of Louisville. Scott’s work impressed former United States President Goerge Bush who hired him to work as an executive producer before he was promoted to Special Assistant in 2006.
Jennings was born and raised in the suburbs of Dawson Spring Kentucky. He grew up as a very active kid who enjoyed following investigative news reports after school. Scott finished his high school education in his hometown and enrolled at the University of Louisville. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications from the University of Louisville back in 2000. He began working for WHAS Radio while he was in college.
Jennings made his debut as a journalist and writer by working as a special assistant to President George Bush back in 2006. He also worked as an executive director of the Bush-Cheny Campaign n New Mexico before he was promoted. Scott left his position as a special assistant back in 2013 and launched his own firm called RunSwitch Public Relations. His firm is currently ranked as Kentucky’s largest public relations and public affairs. Scott also began writing columns for Louisville Courier-Journal the same year. He gained fame for covering the latest updates on Politics, Global warming among other news stories. Scott left Louisville Courier-Journal and joined CNN in 2017.
