Andy Cohen is a renowned American radio and television talk show host, producer, and writer. He is the host and executive producer of Bravo’s late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Previously, Andy served as Bravo’s executive vice president of Development and Talent until 2013.

Cohen also has Radio Andy, a pop-culture channel on SiriusXM Radio. He hosts a two-hour live show alongside John Hill twice a week. Andy also worked as an executive producer on the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning reality cooking competition television show, Top Chef.

Currently, Cohen serves as an executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise while he hosts Watch What Happens Live on Bravo, hosts Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM channel 102, and hosts the revival of the television dating show Love Connection.

Cohen graduated from Clayton High School in 1986. He then joined Boston University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. While at the university, he wrote for the Boston University student newspaper, The Daily Free Press. Later on, Andy interned at CBS News alongside Julie Chen, who was also an intern back then.

Cohen began his television career as an intern at CBS News. He went on to spend 10 years at the network, eventually serving as a senior producer of The Early Show, a producer for 48 Hours, and a producer of CBS This Morning. In 2000, Andy joined the television network Trio, later becoming the vice president of original programming at Bravo in 2004. However, he did not give up on his management role at Bravo until 2014 despite his career as an on-camera being underway.

Cohen was a regular on Today Show and Morning Joe and co-hosted Live! with Kelly, and The View. He also made several guest appearances on other talk shows. Andy made several guest appearances on television shows playing himself, such as The Comeback and Saturday night Live.

In the summer of 2009, Cohen began hosting a weekly midnight television talk show, Watch What Happens Life, a show that was later expanded into a weeknight series. Currently, he is in contract with Bravo to host Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen until 2021.

Cohen became widely known as reports called him the first openly gay late-night hosting in 2007 when his career faced a rise at Bravo. In May 2012, Cohen published his first book, titled “Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture.”

Sirius XM announced that Andy would be developing his brand in another medium and would feature shows hosted by figures including himself, Sandra Bernhard, and Dan Rather. In June 2016, it was announced that Cohen was launching his own imprint ahead of making his third publication. In 2017, Andy replaced Kathy Griffin to join his good friend Anderson Cooper as a “New Years’ Live” co-host and has been a fixture on the show since then.

Cohen hosted the Fox game show revival “Love Connection” for two seasons before it was scrapped by the network. In December 2018, Andy was revealed to be expecting a baby with a surrogate, with Alter sharing the newborn’s face in February 2019.
