Sarah Snook is an award-winning Australian actress who has been in a number of films, including Sisters of War (2010), Not Suitable for Children (2012), These Final Hours (2013), Pedestrian (2014), The Dressmaker (2015), Steve Jobs (2005), and Pieces of a Woman (2020).
For her remarkable performance in Predestination, Snook earned the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Sarah was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and raised in the Eden Hills suburbs. She then went to Belair’s St John’s Grammar School and Torrens Park’s Scotch College. Snook earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2008. (Acting).
Snook appeared in theatre productions of Macbeth and Gallipoli while at NIDA. She went on to perform with the State Theatre Company of South Australia in King Lear and as Saint Joan in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Saint Joan in 2018.
Not Suitable for Children (2012), These Final Hours (2013), Predestination (2014), and Jessabelle are among her credits (2014). Snook is now starring as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy in the HBO series Succession.
Snook was cast in the leading role of Anne Elliot in Persuasion, an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel of the same name, in September 2020.
