Anthony Macari Biography
Anthony Macari is an American Meteorologist who is currently working as a digital weather producer and meteorologist at WJAR. Prior to returning to Rhode Island, he worked at AccuWeather, producing graphics and working behind the scenes for their national cable weather broadcasts.
He grew up in Johnston and graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy. It’s been a dream to be home with family and friends forecasting the weather for NBC 10. Following a childhood passion, he graduated from Lyndon State College with a degree in atmospheric sciences. Anthony became involved with the broadcast side of meteorology following an internship at WLNE-TV in Providence.
Most notably, his first job following graduation was as the morning meteorologist at WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, Maine. While in “The County” he stayed busy forecasting countless snowstorms while also reporting and recreation in the area. In addition, he is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
During his free time, he can be found riding motorcycles or snowmobiles, watching Boston sports, or eating some of the Italian food Rhode Island has to offer.
