Becca Habegger is an American Emmy Award-winning journalist currently working at ABC 10, Sacramento, California, in the United States as a general assignment reporter. She joined the station’s team in June 2017. From November 2019 until the present, Habegger has been the managing director of the station. She was also a full-time interim nightside executive producer from May 2020 to March 2021. Additionally, when Becca joined the station, she served as a multi-skilled journalist for ABC’s 10 Late News Tonight. Her coverage includes everything from deadly wildfires to the rollout of the legal cannabis industry in California to politics and K–12 education topics.
Before Becca joined ABC 10, she worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist for WBIR-TV, Knoxville, Tennessee, from October 2014 to May 2017. While at the station, the Tennessee Associated Press named her the Best Reporter for 2016. Luckily, her work also earned her several awards from the East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists. The Young Professionals of Knoxville also named her an Outstanding Young Professional in 2016 for both her on-air work and community involvement, including as a spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee.
