Matt Yarosewick Biography
Matt Yarosewick is an American weather forecaster currently serving as a full-time weekday morning meteorologist at WNDU-TV, in the South Bend-Mishawaka Region of the United States. He joined the station in March 2021. Previously, Yarosewick worked at Gray Television as a weekend meteorologist from June 2020 to February 2021.
Moreover, he served as a student meteorologist at the Center County report from September 2019 to June 2020. In addition, Matt was also a meteorology student at Pennsylvania State University from August 2015 to June 2020. In addition, he was a weather intern at CBS 3 for a period of three months.
From a very young age, Matt had an interest in the weather. His love for weather began with intense East Coast snowstorms and severe weather. When Hurricane Katrina struck Louisiana in 2005, Yarosewick discovered that he wanted to make sure people stayed safe when the weather took a turn for the worse. Moreover, since the age of six, he has set his sights on all things weather.

Yarosewick earned a degree in meteorology from one of the best atmospheric sciences schools, Pennsylvania State University. During his time at the university, he not only learned everything he could in the classroom but also immersed himself in several award-winning shows. Luckily, he became a regular host and forecaster on Weather World, an Emmy award-winning show. Additionally, in his senior year, Matt joined the Center County Report team as a Friday meteorologist. During the semester, the group won a first-place award for the best all-around TV newscast for the Society of Professional Journalism.
Additionally, Matt graduated in May of 2020 with a degree in Meteorology: Weather Forecasting and Communications, and he was excited to join the WNDU First Alert Weather Team and give the most accurate forecasts, and keep all of Michiana updated.
During Yarosewick’s free time, he enjoys getting outside, playing golf, heading to the lake to fish, enjoying a relaxing day on the beach, as well as being a sports maniac. Moreover, he is forever loyal to his Nittany Lions and enjoys rooting for his Philadelphia Flyers and Phillies and also watching any sport on TV whenever he can.
