Bob Kelly Biography

Bob Kelly is an American Traffic Anchor who is currently working as a traffic anchor at FOX29. He has been working at FOX29 since October 2014. Kelly also hosts the regular morning segments “Kelly’s Classroom,” “Breakfast with Bob,” and “Takeover,” all of which take him out into the community to connect with “Good Day Philadelphia” viewers.

Following his education, he is a proud graduate of North Catholic High School. He later joined Temple University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Most notably, he began his career as a radio disc jockey, working with Jerry Blavat, The Geator. He also worked up and down the dial at Philly’s hottest radio stations until traffic became news and he joined KYW News Radio with Traffic on the e2s.

Before joining FOX29, he was the Traffic Anchor for 13 years at CBS 3 in Philadelphia. He also became the first Philadelphian traffic anchor to do his reports in front of the green screen. Kelly joined FOX29 in 2014 where he has been working as a traffic anchor ever since.
