Bob Wischusen Biography
Bob Wischusen is an American journalist who is currently working as a sports commentator for ESPN and the radio announcer for the New York Jets.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Wischusen attended and graduated from Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains. After he was done with high school, he attended Boston College where he graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in 1993. He began his sportscasting career at WZBC. After graduating, he joined WQAM in Miami.
After leaving WQAM, he joined WFAN as a reporter. During his stay here, he began working on the station’s Jets coverage, hosting the pregame, halftime, and postgame shows. When WFAN lost the rights to the Jets after the 1998 season, he followed the coverage to WABC.
He joined ESPN in 2006 as a secondary commentator for college football and basketball. For the 2010 college season, he was paired with Brian Griese. In 2021, it was reported that he would start calling play-by-play for the NHL on ESPN.
