Christiane Amanpour Biography
Christiane Amanpour is a British-Iranian journalist and television host. She is well known for serving at CNN as the Chief International Anchor. Moreover, she is also the host of CNN International’s nightly interview program titled Amanpour. Christiane also works as the host of a show titled Amanpour & Company on PBS.
When she cleared her primary school education in Iran, Christiane went to study in a boarding school in England. Afterward, Amanpour joined Holy Cross Convent, an all-girls school situated in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. Additionally, she has also studied at New Hall School, a Roman Catholic school in Chelmsford, Essex. She moved to the United States and joined the University of Rhode Island. Christiane graduated from the university with a B.A. degree in journalism.
Amanpour began her career with CNN in 1983. She also covered the Persian Gulf war and the Bosnian crisis. From 1992 to 2010, she worked as an international correspondent for CNN. Moreover, she has also reported newsworthy stories for ABC and CBS.
