Claudia Vargas is an American journalist who is currently working as an investigative reporter for NBC10 Philadelphia and Telemundo62 since April 13, 2020. Vargas comes to NBC10 and Telemundo62 from the Philadelphia Inquirer where she worked as a reporter for 10 years, most recently with the investigative team. During her time with the Inquirer. Claudia also covered the Camden and Philadelphia City Hall beats.
Before joining the Inquirer, Vargas worked as a reporter at the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York. In addition, she spent time in Paris as a freelance reporter for USA Today’s London Bureau.
Claudia’s investigative reporting has led to changes in state and local policy, reform of city-run nonprofits, and exposure of the environmental hazards and unsafe housing conditions at some of Philadelphia’s blueberry farms.
