Danny Freeman Biography
Danny Freeman is an American journalist who is currently working as a news reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia since joining the station in January 2021. Freeman joined NBC10 from NBC 7 San Diego where he worked as a political reporter and host.
A New York native, Danny gained interest in journalism while still in high school. He then joined Dartmouth College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude in Political Science and Government in 2013.
During his time in college, Danny interned at different institutions including as a Summer Employee: McDonald’s Internship as well as a Global Leadership Intern at The Rockefeller Center for Public Policy of Dartmouth College.
After graduation, Freeman landed his first job as a political journalist and online media producer at Colombia Reports in Medellin, Colombia. After a short while, he moved to New York to join NBCUniversal working for East Coast Page. In March 2015, Danny started serving as a desk assistant at NBC Nightly News.
After spending 2 years at NBC News, Freeman moved to Bakersfield in California to work as a reporter for KGET TV17. At the station, Danny reported for two Regional Edward R. Murrow award-winning broadcasts and two Emmy award-winning broadcasts.
In August 2018, Danny joined NBC 7 San Diego to work as a political reporter and host. After working for the station for two and half years, he moved to NBC10 News in Philadelphia where he currently works as a reporter.
