Daniel Sechtin is an American journalist who has been working with WHAS 11 News as a news anchor and reporter since March 2019. He anchors the morning news and specializes in general assignment reporting for the station.
Sechtin began his media career while still in high school when he wanted to start a student-run news network. He did so because he believed students were not receiving news in a relatable manner. As he grew older, he realized that it wasn’t just kids who wanted a different take on current events.
Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and his field of study, politics, from Wake Forest University in 2016.
