Ana Rivera is an American journalist currently working as a morning news reporter for WTVD ABC 11 News. Rivera joined Abc 11 Eyewitness News team in July 2018 where she is waking up with you bright and early. She reports from 4:30 am to 7:00 am and also from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Ana grew up in Delaware and attended Syracuse University where she graduated with a dual major in broadcast journalism and political science.
Rivera started her reporting career at the WUTR in Utica, New York. She is excited to see her Orange take on Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, and NC State in some big ACC match-ups. Ana has interviewed numerous baseball greats in Cooperstown and battled snowstorms.
Prior to moving to the Triangle, Ana worked in the land of bourbon and fast horses-Louisville, KY. During her time in Louisville, Ana worked as an 11 p.m. reporter and fill-in anchor at the ABC affiliate WHAS11. In addition, she covered a variety of stories in the Bluegrass state including rising crime rates and she even got to meet the country star, Garth Brooks!
