Derek Kevra Biography
Derek Kevra is an American meteorologist who presently works as a weather anchor and reporter at FOX 2 News in Detroit, Michigan. Kevra forecasts prepares, and delivers weathercasts on the morning, midday, and evening shows.
In addition, Kevra produces, writes, and presents a weekly Tech Talk series that covers both local and national tech news. Kevra is also a key anchor fill-in for “The Nine,” a mostly unscripted daily morning show that airs from 9 to 10 a.m.
Derek began his career as a morning meteorologist at KDRV in Medford, OR, after interning at Fox 2 News. He moved to New Orleans two years later to work for WWL-TV. He was better prepared for the substantial severe weather coverage they had during hurricane season because he studied tropical meteorology in school.
