Derica Williams is an American journalist who currently works as a news anchor and reporter at FOX6 News. She joined the station in June 2012. Williams was born in New York and raised in New Jersey. She attended the University of Maryland College Park where she obtained a B.A. in Communication Studies.
After graduating, Williams returned home and began her career in television broadcasting at WNYW-TV, the FOX 5 station in New York, where she was an Associate Field Producer. After several years, she started reporting at WALA FOX 10 in Mobike/Pensacola. Where there, she covered a broad range of stories including everything from hurricanes, to murder trials, to the Gulf spill.
Besides reporting, Williams hosted a piece on the station’s “Studio 10” morning show that concentrated on Consumer News. She frequently anchored the morning, evening, and also weekend newscasts.
