Dominique Sachse Biography
Dominique Sachse is a popular British/American Youtuber and journalist currently working as an evening news anchor at KPRC Channel 2 located in Houston. Sachse has been in the broadcast industry since 1993.
Dominique went to Memorial High School where she graduated in 1980. She received her high school diploma in 1985. Later on, Sachse joined the University of Houston where she graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Additionally, she attended Richmond College.
While at college, Sachse was named “Outstanding Young Communications Alumna” and also the “Distinguished Alumni” by her Alma Mater, the University of Houston. Dominique kicked off her career as a Metro Traffic Reporter for numerous radio channels in the 1990s. She also served as a DJ (Disk Jockey) for several years.
She was promoted as a broadcast journalist in KPRCH2 after serving as a reporter for the morning traffic ranks. Sachse is very thrilled to work at KPR station 2 and calls it her second home. Previously, she worked at Houston News.
While at KPRC station 2, Dominique covered President George W. Bush’s inauguration in January of 2001. She also covered Pope Paul ii visit to Mexico City in 2002. Additionally, in 2010, Sachse traveled to London to cover the Royal Wedding. In the same year, she covered the Olympics.
Moreover, Dominique has won two Emmy Awards and some AWRT awards as a journalist. She also received the prestigious Edward R. Murrow as the host of “Jennifer’s Story”. Dominique also received accolades from the Houston Press Club and from Texas Associated Press.
