Drew Reeves is an American journalist currently working as a Freelance reporter at KPTV Fox 12 News in Portland, Oregon Area. He joined the station in September 2019 from KXLY 4 News in Spokane, Washington.
Drew grew up in Wilsonville, Oregon, and is thrilled to be back home and reporting in the city and state that he loves. He graduated from Wilsonville High School in 2009 and later joined Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcast media studies.
After his graduation in 2013, Drew started work immediately at KXLY in Spokane. After spending six years at the station, starting as a new intern through a multi-media journalist and finally left as a reporter and news anchor.
In 2018, Drew enrolled at Mississippi State University where he graduated with a Certificate in Applied Broadcast Meteorology in 2021. Upon joining Fox 12 News, Drew can be seen reporting on the weekday evening news, and occasionally at the weather wall.
When Reeves is not reporting or giving forecasts, he is probably staying active in Oregon’s outdoors. He is a marathon lover and has run several marathons, including the Portland Marathon in 2019. In addition, Drew grew up swimming in the Willamette River and his passion for swimming continues to this day.
