Florian Munteanu Biography
Florian Munteanu is German-born Romanian actor and boxer known by his ring name Big Nasty. As an actor he is famous for his role as boxer Viktor Drago in Creed II (2018) and Creed III (2023). He also appeared as Razor Fist in Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings (2021).
Raised in Bogen, he moved to Munich to study at the university of applied science Hochschule Mittweida. Munteanu defended his Bachelor of Arts thesis in 2014 and he has competed in boxing in German under the ring name “Big Nasty”.
He had his first film role in Bogat, a 2016 German-Romanian film shot in Munich. Most notably, his major breakthrough came in 2018, when Sylvester Stallone was looking for a European heavyweight boxer to play Viktor Drago in Creed II. He is set to reprise this role in Creed III (2023). In addition, he joined the Season 3 line-up of Vikings: Valhalla as General George Maniakes.
