Janice Allen is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist who has been with Fox 17 since July 2010. Allen is the anchor of the station’s 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. She has a regular segment on FOX 17, “Pay it Forward,” where she enjoys being able to highlight positive news.
Janice has always enjoyed meeting new people and staying informed about current events. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication Studies from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
Janice’s work has been recognized by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Indiana Broadcasters Association, Indiana Associated Press, and Society of Professional Journalists for her coverage of major winter storms and major events in West Michigan, such as the Enbridge oil spill in 2010. She enjoys being able to highlight “positive news” stories on FOX 17’s “Pay it Forward” segment on a regular basis.
