Jerry Falwell Jr. is an American attorney, former academic administrator, and a renowned member of the Evangelical Christian Community. He has been serving as the president of Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia since his appointment in 2007.
However, on August 7, 2020, Jerry decided to take an indefinite leave of absence from Liberty University. This was after posting a controversial photo of himself on social media. Later on August 25, 2020, he resigned after allegations were published that Jerry and his wife were in a year-long sexual relationship with a man they had met in 2012.

This was after a photo of him went viral with unzipped pants and his arms around the waist of a woman in unzipped shorts. Later on August 24, 2020, it was reported that Falwell had agreed to resign.
