Kate Merrill is an American journalist who serves as a morning and noon news anchor at WBZ-TV based in Boston. Recently, she served as a news reporter at WNBC-TV and WKRN-TV. Additionally, her career began as a college intern at WCVB-TV, and later, she graduated and went to New York to report for WICZ-TV and WIVT-TV.
In 1999, she was awarded an Emmy Award for her role in covering the tornado that hit Tennessee. In addition, she was awarded two other awards due to her investigative reporting in the same year. During the Covid 19 pandemic, Kate became a victim. She was pretty sick but later got better. Later, she twitted that she was at home and recovering in isolation. She wrote:
I have been pretty sick, but thankfully I’m getting better. This is no joke and even after a year of being very careful and always wearing a mask and taking this seriously, I was exposed and I was exposed to people I love.
