Kipchumba Murkomen is a Kenyan Lawyer and a current sitting Senator for Elgeyo Marakwet County. Furthermore, he is the Majority Leader of the Senate House. Kipchumba is among the fore-founders of the United Republican Party (URP), a Jubilee subsidiary.

Senator Kipchumba was voted in as the Senator for Elgeyo-Marakwet County in 2013 on a URP ticket, winning against the late Nicholas Biwott among other renowned politicians. In 2017, Murkomen was easily re-elected on a jubilee ticket beating former Inspector General David Kimaiyo.
