Lisa Hernandez is an American journalist currently working as a full-time 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. broadcaster and news anchor/reporter at an NBC affiliate, KPRC-TV, in Houston, Texas, since June 2020. Previously, she worked as a news anchor at KHOU 11, a CBS affiliate, from October 2011 to January 2020.
Hernandez attended the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political science and Broadcasting journalism in 2001. However, she started her career a year later, in 2002, as a morning show producer at KESQ, CBS Local 2, and KUNA in Palm Desert, California.
