Matt Barnes is an American journalist currently working as a morning anchor for NBC4 Today a position he took in January of 2016. He joined the NBC4 family back in May 2010 as a sports anchor and reporter.
Barnes graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, graduating cum laude with a degree in broadcast journalism. Barnes started his career at NBC4 as an intern, working in the sports department in the summer of 2007, learning all the ins and out of the television business.
