Nick Ciletti Biography
Nick Ciletti is an American Emmy award-winning journalist who is currently working as an anchor and reporter at ABC15 since joining the station in July 2014. He anchors the station’s Morning newscasts from 4:30 am to 7 am. As an anchor, he has helped walk viewers through some of Arizona’s most historic and impactful moments. Some of these moments include a statewide teacher strike to the passing of Senator John McCain.
Following his career, he exposed a Valley attorney who was caught on jail surveillance physically abusing an inmate. Most notably, he has won an Emmy for his reporting on the deadly Independence High School shooting where he interviewed concerted family members living with his iPhone. In another incident, his reporting from Mexico put a human face to the immigration crisis, where he profiled a Valley father who had just lost his appeal for asylum.
In addition, he traveled to Florida to cover Hurricane Irma. He also reported from the front lines of the deadly Woolsey Fire in Southern California. An Arizona native, Nick graduated from the University of Miami School of Communication. While there, he majored in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Other formal credentials that he holds include a certificate in the U.S. Immigration Law from American University and is currently working on his master’s degree online from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law.
As a cancer survivor, he loves to give back. When off his duties, he loves spending weekends with his French Bulldog rescue, Larry. He is an avid traveler and enjoyed a good hike in the Arizona Sun.
