Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu also known as Ric Hassani is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter, and musician. He is in the league of Dare Art-Aade, Timi Dakolo, and Chike. Eric rose to fame after the release of the song The African Gentleman for which he received two nominations. Prior to this, he also collaborated with famous musicians like Olamide, Falz, Chike, Nasiru, Frankie Walter, Jeff Akoh, DBYZ, and others.
Hassani was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers States, Nigeria. He completed his basic education in his hometown before furthering his study of Economics at Covenant University. He also holds a Master’s degree in energy economics from the University of Surrey in England. Ric began his professional career in 2013 by playing piano and singing. He was named Hassani from a TV series he played. In addition to that, he was inspired by people like Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, and Chris Brown to continue singing.
