Thomas Sadoski Biography
Thomas Sadoski is an American stage, film, and television actor famous for his roles as Don Keefer in the HBO series The Newsroom and as Matt Short in Life in Pieces. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in College Station, Texas, he attended the University of North Texas for one semester and later graduated from the Circle in the Square Theatre School in 1998.
He began his award-winning stage career as the understudy for Mark Ruffalo and Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. This marked the first of many productions as well as many productions in regional theatre. In 2008, Sadoski originated the role of Greg in Neil LaBute’s play Reason to be pretty for MCC Theatre alongside Alison Pill.
In 2011, Thomas originated the role of Trip Wyeth in Jon Robin Baitz’s Other Desert Cities for which he won an Obie Award. The play was even named Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play by the Outer Critics in 2011. Recently, he was cast as Herman in Wedding Band in 2022. He was also cast as Jon Goldfarb in Lily (2022).
