Todd Yakoubian Biography
Todd Yakoubian is a renowned American meteorologist who presently works for KATV, ABC 7 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the United States of American. He joined the station in August of 2005. Prior to joining KATV, ABC7, Yakoubian served as a meteorologist for WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Yakoubian’s journey to KATV started immediately after graduating from Little Rock Catholic High School in 1992. He further attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with honors. Todd graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. In addition, he is a Mississippi State University graduate. He obtained a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology.
Todd is a member of the American Meteorological Society as well as the National Weather Association. He has seals of approval from both organizations. In addition, in May 2008, Yakoubian was honored with the American Meteorological Society’s prestigious Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology (CBM) in recognition of his educational background, understanding, and communication skills needed to be a capable broadcast meteorologist.
Todd kicked off his television career in Missoula, Montana as the morning meteorologist then later the chief meteorologist. He says he will never forget his first winter up north, where 111 inches of snow fell. That’s when he learned to snow ski and fly fish.

Moreover, Yakoubian was in Chattanooga, TN prior to coming to KATV. While there, he was part of the team of meteorologists who received the Tennessee Associated Press award for best weathercast two years in a row. Also, while in Chattanooga, he covered the Veterans Day of tornado outbreak as well as Hurricane Ivan’s extreme floods. But, most importantly, it was there that Todd met his wife.
Since arriving at KATV, Yakoubian has received the Arkansas Associated Press best weathercast of the year award for 2006 and 2007. He was also a runner-up from 2008 to 2011.
Similarly, Todd likes connecting with his viewers on his blog and on social media. His blog received the 2009 and 2010 Best Blog in Arkansas by the Society of Professional Journalists.
He is proud to be part of the Channel 7 tradition and deliver forecasts to his fellow Arkansans.
During his free time, Yakoubian likes fishing, watching Oklahoma football, and spending quality time with his sons.
