Gina Gannon is a seasoned American television host, traffic reporter, event host, and a self-proclaimed foodie currently working for 6ABC News. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Gina is always excited to report weather and traffic news in the Philadelphia area.
Gina started her television career early when she started anchoring entertainment segments for her grade school’s program. This opened her eyes and noticed that was the best path to follow.
When it came time for Gina to join college, she chose Temple University due to its exceptional Communications program. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.
Currently, her main focus includes working as a food host on QVC where she represents numerous food brands on QVC’s multiple channels. This is a profession she developed out of passion a long time before standing in front of the retail giant cameras.
From the first day she watched QVC, Gannon knew she had the perfect skill set for a career selling food. Ever since then, she has never looked back, and now she has become a familiar face for multiple brands, sharing her passion for food with QVC’s massive audience.
Currently, she can also be seen reporting traffic on WPVi 6ABC Action News. Throughout her stay at the station, Gina often hosts their ever-famed lifestyle show, “FYI Philly” where she presents a food segment titled “In the Kitchen with Alessi.” From the show, Gina opens her audience’s eyes to amazing recipes, from family dinners to date nights.
When she is off-air, Gannon likes hosting events near and dear to her heart. She is also on the Board of Directors for Mums and Mutts, an animal advocacy non-profit.
