Jim Hecht is an American writer and producer who rose to fame as the lawfully wedded husband of accomplished KTLA News anchor and reporter, Courtney Friel. He is also recognized for working in movies and TV shows like Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022), Robots (2005), and the popular Ice Age: The Meltdown 2006 movie.
Hecht was born and raised by a middle-class family of caucasian descent living in New York City. He grew up with both of his parents who noticed his passion for film and writing. Thus, they influenced him to join various drama clubs in middle school and high school. Jim enjoyed every single moment he had on stage whether it was to assist in writing a script or even star in any play.
Eventually, Jim finished his high school education and proceeded to study film production at a prestigious college in New York. After college, he began his career as a playwright. From there, Hecht landed the opportunity to work on the 2005 movie called Robot after someone noticed his talent at a New York Theatre.
