Julianne Lima is an American journalist who presently works for WFXT, Boston 25, News, as a reporter. Lima began working at the station in September of this year.
Julianne previously spent more than three years at WPRI-TV in Providence, where she worked as a weekend morning anchor and a weekday morning reporter, covering all the news Rhode Islanders needed to start their day. In addition, she worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for two years at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York.
Lima went to Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School in Dighton, Delaware. Later, she enrolled at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in Psychology. She also received the Don Edwards Broadcast Journalism Award for her outstanding writing, reporting, and acting abilities.
Julianne developed her interest in television journalism while interning for NBC Universal in London, England, during the 2012 Summer Olympics. She then interned at WJAR-TV in Providence, Boston’s KISS 108 FM radio station, Syracuse’s WSYR-TV, and Binghamton’s WBNG-TV. Moreover, she was also an anchor and reporter for the SU student-run television station, CitrusTV.
During Lima’s spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Dan, reading, watching movies, traveling, and exploring new places.
